Sales Specialist (Non Exempt Associate)

Sales Associates – Dearborn, MI/ Indianapolis, IN
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Sales Specialist is responsible for upholding the company standards regarding sales and service by embracing and living the Credo.  The specialist has the responsibility for practicing and demonstrating the 7 principles of selling.
REQUIREMENTS
  • The Understanding and desire to embrace and live the Credo.
  • Proper understanding of the importance of Quality Customer Service and Selling.
  • Strong verbal communication and people skills.
  • The ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to execute the position's responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Ability to utilize a 4-foot, 6-foot and 8-foot ladder
  • Ability to handle cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
DESCRIPTION

The Sales Specialist is responsible for upholding the company standards regarding sales and service by embracing and living the Credo.  The specialist has the responsibility for practicing and demonstrating the 7 principles of selling.

REPORTS TO: Store Management Team

SALES AND SERVICE
1 - Maintain high quality customer service through greeting, selling, and servicing of all customers.
2 - Obtains and exceeds company and store performance goals in UPT, DPT, gift certificate selling and database identification.
3 - Participates in maintaining optimum store environment.
4 - Responsible for upholding committed scheduling attendance to meet the needs of the business.
5 - Maintains a positive attitude toward all customers, fellow associates, and management.

OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL

1 - Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
2 - Maintains proper company standards.
3 - Participates in the responsibilities to maintain organization, uphold housekeeping and maintaining of the store. (i.e.,cleaning, bulb changing, window  washing).
4 - Participates in monitoring the store for potential safety concerns.
5 - Participates in opening and closing activities.  
6 - Assists with proper and timely execution of:

- New merchandise processing
- Transfer completion and processing
- Floorsets and updates
- Promotions
- Markdowns
- New merchandise placement
- Marketing - signage and hang tagging
7 - Demonstrates adherence to all standards and policies on:

- Markdowns                          
- Promotions
- Layaways
- Damages
- Holds
- Sensormatic Tagging    
- Sales Processing
- Bag and Coat checks
- Follows company dress guidelines
8 - Assists in:

- Routine merchandise fill-in and return to stock
- Maintenance of display and visual standards
- Maintenance of fitting rooms
