Store Manager and Assistant Manager Job Description

This position reports to the District Manager and oversees the Co-Manager, Assistant Manager and all Staff Associates.

All candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for the position:

  • Higher Education (College or Jr. College) degree or its equivalent:
  • 5+ years of related, transferable, Retail Apparel Store Management experience (experience with urban apparel required).
  • Projects professionalism in speech, image and conduct.
  • Proper understanding of the importance of quality Customer Service and Selling.
  • Strong Human Resource skills; a proven history of recruiting, hiring and developing a staff.

Sales Specialists Job Description

The Sales Specialist is responsible for upholding the company standards regarding sales and service by embracing and living the Credo. The specialist has the responsibility for practicing and demonstrating the 7 principles of selling.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Service

  • Maintain high quality customer service through greeting, selling, and servicing of all customers.
  • Obtains and exceeds company and store performance goals in UPT, DPT, gift certificate selling and database identification.

Management Trainee

Responsibilities:

The Management Trainee is accountable for customer service as the primary focus. Determines customer needs using communication and selling skills. The Management Trainee is accountable for knowing and achieving personal sales goals, while focusing on store productivity in partnership with store management. This person will participate in a structured management training program, preparing the Management Trainee for the responsibilities of Store Manager. Training time varies depending on previous experience. Subject to transfer to other store locations throughout training and as deemed necessary by the company.

Job Requirements:

  • MUST have retail APPAREL OR FOOTWEAR experience
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be reliable and a self starter
  • Should possess leadership skills
  • Good organizational and communication skills

Accounts Payable Clerk

Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Essential Functions:

  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments

Payroll Assistant

Process and maintains accurate and timely verification of company payroll. Coordinates with the Human Resources Department regarding personnel information and policies and their practical application. Responds to various inquiries from management and employees regarding payment of wages and employment verifications.

Team Leader

Assist in the management of personnel, services and operations of a retail establishment. Service customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Store Manager in the absence of other members of the management team
