JizzleJazzle's Horoscope July 30 - August 29, 2010

July 30, 2010 / Posted in Horoscope
Tags: Horoscope / JizzleJazzle

Another random look at your life this week.  Read it and weep.

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius:

Somebody is risking falling off the wagon, down a ditch and into a dirty back alley if they don't straighten up and fly right. And no I'm not talking about Lindsay Lohan, I'm talking about you child. You've been on the straight and narrow but now you want to test the limits and play with fire.  Well go on but just remember when you feel a burning sensation under your butt it's not just your hemorrhoids; it's also the heat that you can't take.

Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo:

You're realizing this week that time is your most precious commodity so use it wisely. That means limiting perusing gossip blogs, pleasuring yourself and eating junk food.  Wait, did I just eliminate three of my favorite activities in life that keep me motivated and inspired? Uhm, yeah let's ignore this one.

Libra, Aquarius and Gemini:

Patience is not your virtue this week.  You can't wait to use the bathroom, can't wait to eat, can't wait to leave work and can't wait to go to sleep.  What you need to do is learn that waiting is sometimes the best part of life. Take the time to do your nails, floss your teeth, and scratch the dandruff out your hair.  Damn just get a hobby and you'll have no trouble waiting.

Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces:

If you feel like doing something out of the ordinary this week let's start very basic: smile. You're so grouchy not even, Mel Gibson will return your phone calls. Now you know you need some help. Just smile.

I'm JizzleJazzle and remember don't be good, be fabulous.

You Said It…

July 26, 2010 / Posted in Funny / Gossip / Politics / Music / Style / TV
Tags: Foxy Brown / Kid Cudi / Sean “Diddy” Combs / You Said It

By Souleo. Diddy swings from a chandelier; Foxy Brown gets arrested again; Kid Cudi attacks yet another fan; false accusations of racism lead to media/political circus; and a gay rights activist gets discharged from the military.  It's all here in this week's round-up.  Check it.

Diddy Has a Ball

Surprisingly this shot for GQ Magazine has created quite a buzz online.  In my opinion it's a fun image but nothing that should have controversy stamped all over it.  Yet the image has ignited talk of a midlife crisis, gay rumors and allegations of coonery.  Still few comments were as funny as this PMS inspired line.

"Diddy oh Diddy."

Foxy Brown

You would think after serving time in jail that hip-hopper, Foxy Brown would be extra cautious about getting involved in unnecessary drama.  Well such is not the case after she was arrested for violating a protective order filed against her dating back to 2007.  According to the rumor mill, the partially deaf star was blasting music from her Brooklyn home during rehearsal for a performance which led to a confrontation with her nemesis and neighbor, Arlene Raymond.  As the comment below demonstrates Foxy needs to bring the focus back to her music and away from the antics.

"I thought Foxy couldn't even

I thought Foxy couldn't even get arrested now nowadays...guess po-po are the only ones checking for her..lmao...."

Kid Cudi Attacks Another One

Oh no, not again.  After a fan hopped on stage during Kid Cudi's recent show the hip-hopper couldn't resist getting an ass-whooping in.  While there's much that could be said about that action it's the comment below about the security guard that has me cracking up.

"Why was Rick Ross doing security?"

Media & Political Organizations Jump the Gun

After long-time freedom fighter and USDA employee, Shirley Sherrod's comments were taken out of context a media firestorm was lit.  What was meant to be an inspiring story surrounding race and class issues turned into an example of how quickly and easily the media will crucify without justification, and how politics will stay play the race card.  Thankfully the commenter below reminds us of the true meaning of Shirley's speech.

"It was about a "life-lesson"...a "teaching" moment...Life presents you with choices just as it "colors" your responses to those choices by your experiences. This lady had great justification to give in to her baser instincts, but she chose to grow beyond her prejudices...a lesson for us all."

You Can't Keep a Good Soldier Down

After coming out of the closet and taking a stance against the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy Iraq war veteran, Lt. Dan Choi has been formally discharged due to his sexuality.  The commenter below helps put this case into perspective by reminding us all of the military's many former acts of discrimination and why this case is no different.

"Fact is until Truman integrated the service, before the country was integrated, blacks were in different units in the army. And as late as the 60's women were put up in "WAC shacks" and treated as second class citizens. That was the rules of the day. And they were wrong."

JizzleJazzle's Horoscope July 23 - July 29, 2010

July 26, 2010 / Posted in Horoscope
Tags: Horoscope / JizzleJazzle

With so much talk about weddings and divorces this week in celebrity land, it's time to find out what's in the stars for you this week when it comes to love and marriage.

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius:

This week you really need to dig deep and ask yourself the burning question:  are you truly ready to trade in nights of wild partying ending with you running naked down public streets; endless one night stands and sexting at all hours of the day and night for the life of a married man?  Uh, who am I kidding?  Just pretend you're Jessie James meets The Dream meets Tiger Woods and you get the best of both worlds.

Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo:

Of course every bride wants to wear virginal white for their big day but baby, let's be honest.  You need off-off-white.  The only hole where you're a virgin is in that hole in your head, Ms. Delusional.  So don't go walking down that aisle with your nose in the air like your woo-hoo is tighter than a boxer's fist when it's loose as a goose.  Even sluts have to stay true to themselves.

Libra, Aquarius and Gemini:

Don't let your emotions go gettin' the best of you this week.  You're bound to feel exhausted, disappointed, frustrated and unsatisfied-and that's just after foreplay.  Remember marriage is work.  So before you go heading for divorce make sure you've done all you can to resolve the issues.  If not, well just think about the alimony...think about the alimony..!

Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces:

True love is a rare thing and you're blessed to have found it this week.  Your face is glowing, you're walking with more confidence and you're happier than ever before.  Too bad 'cause everyone around you is feeling the love too.  But just keep on letting all the haters stare at you with their mouths open like groupies on their knees in the NBA locker room.  Oh, the power of love.

I'm JizzleJazzle and remember don't be good, be fabulous.

Introducing: Vaughn Anthony

July 22, 2010 / Posted in Music
Tags: John Legend / Vaughn Anthony

By Souleo. When someone labels themselves, "Mr. Everything," you expect well, uhm everything.  For rising R&B singer-songwriter, Vaughn Anthony living up to that title is not so hard since he provides listeners with sex appeal, heartfelt vocals and an honest look at relationships from a male perspective.  It also doesn't hurt that he's superstar, John Legend's younger brother and John's second signing to his HomeSchool Records imprint.  After opening up for John and fellow soul star, India.Arie, Vaughn has released his EP entitled The Future, which is now available on iTunes and Amazon.  He spoke to JimmyJazz.com about his former cheating ways, the sadness that drove him to weigh 220 lbs., what he's learned the most from John and more.

He's not afraid to share his flaws with listeners:

My most personal song is "In Your Shoes," because I've been through it.  I was a player and messed with different women while I had a girlfriend.  Men get tired of things real quick and want new things and that's what men do.  I'm a man but I've changed a lot.  I don't pass out my numbers all the time.  If it's not business I don't give out my number or get in conversations that are not about what I am pushing towards.  So I felt sorry for doing that to my mate which is how I came up with the song.

He overcame depression and being overweight:

At one point I weighed 220 lbs.  I was lost when I was at that weight because I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.  I was working in a factory and I wasn't happy.  Once I found out what I wanted to do which was singing I got motivated and focused.  I got a trainer and did what I was supposed to do for my profession.  I feel sexy now and a lot more confident.

He's sexy but not all about the sex appeal:

To a degree I feel a pressure to keep it sexy.  Sex appeal is something you have to have nowadays.  But I think music conquers everything.  No matter what you look like with good music you can win.  I do music for the people to make the best music I can make.

He's inspired by his brother, John Legend's professionalism:

He doesn't say too much but watching him taught me a lot.  I've watched how he conducts himself and treats the game as a business.  He's one of the hardest working guys in the business.  When I first started my songwriting was okay but he pushed me.  I took some of what he had and added it to myself.  That's the biggest thing I took from him.

Celebrities Call for Changes: Keep Music Alive

July 21, 2010 / Posted in Music
Tags: Kat Deluna / Margaret Cho / Naughty by Nature / Treach / Vin Rock / Yonas

By Souleo. w/assistance from Melissa Santaella - Is the music dying?  Many ponder this question considering the state of low record sales, piracy and a seemingly dearth of high quality mainstream acts.  Some of the music industry's most talented artists shared their thoughts on what it will take to keep the music alive during the kick off concert of the New Music Seminar, the future of music conference for artists and industry at New York City's Webster Hall.

Pop singer, Kat DeLuna didn't hold back when it came to expressing her view that the industry needs more guidelines in place to protect independent artists.

"I wish that there were more changes in where we would have more videos being played on TV and just giving more love back to the organic artists," she said.

Comedienne and conference host, Margaret Cho noted that without the financial well-being of artists and musicians we may lose many talented people who can't afford to make a living anymore in the industry.

"I would like to see the industry itself be more compassionate towards artists and making sure that we can retain our intellectual, artistic and financial integrity.  I think that right now it's confusing how people make money in this industry and I want to see people take care of the artists."

For Yonas, a fast-rising hip-hop talent, Billboard Magazine World Songwriting Contest winner and avid shopper of Jimmy Jazz's hip-hop clothing it's going to take more unity to keep the music from dying.

"I would love to see people come together a little bit more.  I think everyone is kind of separated and everyone's got their own movements.  I think we need to bring it together just a little bit more."

One group that has kept it together for over 20 years and weathered numerous changes in the music business is Naughty by Nature.  The group recently announced a forthcoming release of a new album.  But member, Vin Rock is ready to remind listeners that they never left the scene so don't call it a comeback.

"Well we never left.  We just lost our third member and our producer [DJ Kay Gee] for a minute but me and Treach kept going.  We never stop touring and we always keep a viral presence," he said.

With their team fully back together Vin says that listeners can expect more of the classic Naughty by Nature sound that has made them icons in hip-hop.

"It's gonna be just hot music with more party anthems, more street anthems, more records that make you think and tearjerkers."

The evening concluded with a concert featuring rousing performances by Kat, Naughty by Nature and more.  The New Music Seminar brought out the real views of artists on a forever changing industry with the hope of saving the music business before it's too late.

The Questions: Diamond

July 20, 2010 / Posted in
Tags: Crime Mob / Diamond

By Souleo. From the moment she spit a verse, former Crime Mob member, Diamond sparkled with confidence, sass and sex appeal. Now she returns to the scene as a solo artist with a forthcoming album on Jive/Battery Records. Diamond let JimmyJazz.com into her world as she talked the need to stop hyping new artists, how she puts it on a man, the joy of realizing her dreams and more.

Stop the hype: The hypeness when new artists come out with a new record and they already put the stamp of approval before they prove themselves. Just because they came up with a hot record don't mean they can come up with another hot record or album.

I can't get enough of: Sci-fi movies.

I wish I could: Be in a sci-fi movie.

If I was your woman: You wouldn't let me out your sight because I'm a hands-on type of person and cater to my mate. I'll have you so messed up to the point you can't function by yourself 'because you used to me handling everything for you. You won't want someone else benefitting from my loving.

You'd be surprised to know: I love to cook.

I dance in my underwear to: Ciara's "Ride." I can do the move a little bit.

When I was younger: I had dreams of doing what I'm doing now. I'm not all the way there yet so to be on this track is amazing.

Never say never to: My music.

When I'm in bed at night: I talk to God about not worrying and for reassurance that things will go the way it needs to go.

You Said It…

July 19, 2010 / Posted in Funny / Gossip / Movies / Music / Style / TV
Tags: Christina Milian / George Steinbrenner / Nicki Minaj / The Dream / Trey Songz / Wesley Snipes / You Said It

By Souleo. R&B singer The Dream creates a nightmare for himself with an apology letter to Christina Milian and rumors of cheating; the sports world loses one of it's greats with the passing of NY Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner; "Bottoms Up," the new single by Trey Songz ft. Nicki Minaj sets off the internet's gaydar; Wesley Snipes can't beat the system and is off to jail; and could we have another Vietnam on our hands?  It's all here in this week's round-up.  Get with it.

My, My What a Bad Dream

According to the clever commenter below The Dream's "apology" letter to Christina Milian might as well be signed by just about every male celebrity in Hollywood.  With all the revelations of cheating and shady behavior I can't disagree much.

"Sincerely signed by Swizz Beats, D. Wade and the Dream...All three of these fathers who failed to work it out with their "not hot anymore" wives should start an outreach program for men on the come-up who subscribe to the more money more women necessary policy..oh, and Tiger can be the president and Diddy can be top recruiter setting up the secret meeting spots for the initial affair."

George Steinbrenner Enters Heaven, Well Almost

The commenter below wonderfully plays off of George's public reception as both a celebrated and at times controversial figure in this sweet and funny imagining of him trying to get into Heaven.

"(Bob Sheppard in Heaven) Ladies and Gentlemen may I get your attention please, now entering the Pearly Gates, owner of the New York Yankees, George Steinbrenner (St Peter) Not so fast Mr Sheppard we have to talk with George first but I'm sure he'll get in LOL."

The Bottom Line with Trey Songz

This commenter gets to the bottom (yes, pun intended) of Trey's new single that is raising eyebrows.  While the interpretation may be a little uhm, extra it's still an entertaining perspective.

"The funny thing is that soon the negro is just going to make a song called "I'm Gay", and his fans will say "he just means that he's happy", lol. The man came out as a h*mosexual in the Drake video, "Best I Ever Had", along with that other h*mosexual "Fabolous". That video was a metaphor for how Drake was sexed into the industry, and Fabolous and Trey appeared because they were two of the ones that did it obviously. Then they follow that guest appearance up with "Say Ahh", which is obviously about fellatio between these "down low" clowns in the industry. Now "Bottoms Up". You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see what the man is implying."

IRS Bites Deep into Wesley Snipes' Pockets

Aww, man they got Nino Brown and Blade.  Okay, it's really just Wesley but with his iconic action roles you'd think he could beat the system with just one swift move or evil glare.  Apparently not.

"The only vampires 'Blade' cant beat....the IRS."

Vietnam 2010?

With the public support of the U.S. war in Afghanistan decreasing the commenter below gets to the heart of the matter by noting how similar this situation is becoming to Vietnam.  Let's not repeat history.

"People are correct when they point out that, unlike Vietnam, Afghanistan is not the subject of mass outrage because young men are not being drafted to fight. But if we do stand as one and say that we've had enough, our involvement in Afghanistan will end just as it did in Vietnam. We *have* to be angry and Washington has to know it--nothing less will do."

JizzleJazzle's Horoscope July 16 - July 22, 2010

July 16, 2010 / Posted in Horoscope
Tags: Horoscope / JizzleJazzle

No theme this week.  I'm just dropping the vision like I sees it and schooling you all on how to fake the charm, avoid trains, douching and making your ex wish they could still hit that.  You already know what time it is, don't cha?

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius:

This week you just need to be yourself and the world will fall to its knees ready to serve you in God knows any way imaginable.  Your light is shining and the floor is all yours.  Just remember when I say be yourself I mean be your best self-not the grouchy, crust-in-the eye, gossiping, low down nasty freak you are behind closed doors.  Okaaaayyyyy!?!

Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo:

Now is your chance to avoid becoming another train wreck and get your life back on the rails of success.  You are the conductor of this train so put on them emergency breaks if you have to and take a moment to get your course in order.  And in sticking with the whole train metaphor now is the perfect time for me to remind you to stop having trains run on you as well.  Uhmmm, hmmm you ain't think I'd go there now did ya?  I see things child...

Libra, Aquarius and Gemini:

Walk before you run.  Think before you talk.  Douche before you let loose.  Just a random rules I thought might be helpful for you this week.  That's all.

Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces:

You usually work hard but lately you've been a little lax.  It's time to rev up that energy and get back on point.  If you need motivation just think of that ex who did you dirty and how much you want to make them sick by being so successful without them.  And if that don't get ya working hard again then you're more hopeless than I thought.

I'm JizzleJazzle and remember don't be good, be fabulous.

The Questions: Marques Houston

July 15, 2010 / Posted in Interviews / Music
Tags: Marques Houston / Rick Ross

By Souleo. After tracing his personal evolution through style, Marques Houston is back with JimmyJazz.com to go under interrogation for a few questions.  Marques couldn't resist revealing his disdain for blog sites, maybe one day doing country music, which super producer he cut hair for and the one thing that makes him a great lover.

Stop the hype: I think blog sites are overhyped because sometimes there is a lot of negative press and for us artists it can be overdone.  All people want to do is blog nowadays and they get this surreal idea that blog sites are true and a lot of them aren't true.

I'm currently crazy about: Technology.  I'm big on the latest televisions and 3D TV's and blu-rays.

I dance in my underwear to: Everything on my iPod.  I put it on and get in the shower and whatever is on there I dance to.

Five years from now: I will hopefully be on my second number one movie at the box office.

I'll never say never to: Music.  It's what drives me and I feel like if somebody asked me to try a country song I wouldn't say never.

You'd be surprised to know: I can be a professional barber if I wanted to.  I cut my own hair and my barber, Maryea taught me how to cut.  I did cut Teddy Riley's hair for his video shoot when he didn't have a barber.  I forgot the name of the video.

I'm a good lover because: I'm very passionate and that's where it starts.  You can be great at anything with passion.

When I'm alone in bed at night: I'm rarely alone but I make sure I say my prayers every night.  I pray abut what's going on for the day and what is on my mind at the time.  I got to have a conversation with God.
