“Weatherman” Foamposites Make it Rain at Jimmy Jazz
By Ashli Prescott
A storm is coming this August 30th and the NIKE forecast calls for Foam- Foamposite, that is. The new "Weatherman" One Premium model has arguably become the wildest Foamposite design to date. The colorful sneaks feature a pixilated weather map with reflective "jet stream" rings that illuminate when light hits them. Equipped with the signature Penny Hardaway "1 Cent" logo on the tongue and heel, bright blue laces and flash lime accents, the shoe is sure to enthrall sneakerheads everywhere. According to Sneakernews.com, the enticing colorway gets its look from an unrealized childhood dream of basketball star Kevin Durant. It is written that "If the 6'9″ athlete never had the chops to play basketball, he would've pursued a career in front of the green screen." Imagine KD as a weatherman? We can't either.
Interestingly enough, the weather map concept was first utilized on the KD 4 back in December of 2011.
