Adidas custom kicks make black tie cool
When it comes to dressing up for a black tie event, most ladies enjoy picking out a dress and doing their hair, while guys often cringe at the thought of putting on a tie. Luckily, famed designer Jeremy Scott, who transforms adidas sneakers into works of art, has created new kicks, the JSÂ Wings 2.0 "Patent Leather" that might even pass for formal wear.Â
Freshness magazine reports Scott's more recent design uses the adidas Originals' high tops in sleek black patent leather. The all-black kicks may seem like ordinary sneakers from the front, but as soon as wearer's turn to the side - bam - the crowd is sure to go wild.Â
Scott worked his JS Wings magic into this style, creating wings on either side of the shoe, hiding the high top feature. These kicks are not only show-stoppers,  but might even complement those suits guys have to wear to certain events.Â
KicksonFire.com reports Scott decided to make a more high fashion sneaker in the spirit of awards season. The kicks are definitely more toned down than the mastermind's typical ideas, which include sneakers that look like poodles, gorillas and teddy bears.
Would you ever rock sneakers at a formal event?
