AF1 goes to art school: Splatter edition

Considering the fact that the 2014 Australian Open is in full swing, it's the perfect time for Nike to unleash some sneakers inspired by the Air Tech Challenge II. While the latest release is actually a pair of Air Force 1s, this edition pays homage to Andre Agassi's beloved kicks. Just look to the splattered graphics on the back panel for evidence that these are a tribute to the classic tennis sneakers.

Another sign that these 1s are modeled after the Air Tech Challenge II is the high-contrast colorway, which includes a jet-black leather and nubuck upper with the recognizable paint-like print splattered along the heel panels and toe box. Hot pink hits the outsole, lace system and brand tagging, making these kicks hard to miss. A black midsole, tongue and signature Swoosh, meanwhile, make the palette seem more grounded.

Get ready to cop them Feb. 8, when they launch on the Jimmy Jazz website and hit store shelves for $100.

What graphics do you want to see more of on Air Force 1s this year?
