The Air DT Max gets an atomic jolt
What set the Nike Air DT Max apart? For one, the "shredding" design was unlike anything we'd ever seen in the sneaker world. More importantly, though, these are the kicks worn by Deion "Prime Time" Sanders - the only man to play in both the a Super Bowl and a World Series, and the only player to hit a major league home run and score a touchdown in the same week. You might remember him for his legendary touchdown dance celebrations, or maybe you remember him from his title of NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.
Either way, this edition stays faithful to the '96 Air DT Max build with a combination leather and nubuck upper, midfoot strap and a visible wraparound Air-Sole unit. Still, Nike turned up the volume on the most popular trainers by outfitting them in a vibrant Court Purple colorway. Flashes of Atomic Orange ooze out of the Air Unit and midfoot perforations, while splashes of icy cool light purple light up the whole canvas on the Swoosh branding accents and flame-like shredded side panels.
