Air Jordan Retro 9s making a comeback
The Air Jordan Retro 9 family is expanding once again as the popular shoe will be out in a new colorway on November 3. SoleCollector.com reports this version of the high-top sneaker consists of a sleek black-on-blue scheme that is perfect for all occasions.
Dubbed "Photo Blue," the latest in the 9 series consists of black leather and nubuck uppers accentuated by electric blue stitching, blue eyelets, tongue, branding and padding. The iconic Jordan symbol on the heel is also blue, as is the same logo on the sole of the sneaker and on the embroidered "23" on the back. The white rubber outsole provides the dark kicks with a fresh pop of brightness.
CounterKicks.com reports there was a slight problem in the production line for these kicks. Approximately 10,000 of the sneakers were produced by the Jordan brand's factory in China with the wrong coloring. The mess-ups were created with black soles instead of white before the problem was discovered.
The white-bottom shoes hit stores on November 3 and will cost fans a cool $160 to own.
