And the First Rapper to Perform at the White House is...
Big Sean made hip hop history this week. The rapper was given the opportunity of a lifetime - one that not even Yeezy or Drake has been offered - when he was asked to perform at the White House. More than 30,000 people were in the audience for the 2014 Easter Egg Roll, and Sean definitely made a lasting impression, though he wasn't the only artist in attendance. Pop star Ariana Grande took to the stage for the event as well, according to XXL magazine.
TMZ noted that Common did perform some poetry at the White House several years ago. Still, that's not the same as spitting your own verses.
