ASAP Rocky Sued For Slapping Incident
The Harlem-bred rapper is being sued in civil court by Lisamarie Wade, a fan who claims that ASAP Rocky slapped her in the face at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia last August, according to hiphopdx.com.
Wade filed suit against Rocky in federal court last Thursday (July 17) for civil assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability. The actions against him stem from an incident where Wade claims that Rocky delivered an open hand smack to her face as he was walking through fans who were pulling on his shirt. Wade says she suffered whiplash from the slap. In criminal court, the rapper was charged with misdemeanor simple assault for the incident.
Wade is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
This is the second time that Rocky has been accused of assault. Back in 2012, he was arrested and sued for assault after a fight with two photographers who were filming Rocky involved in a fight.
