Beyonce: New face of Pepsi
Pepsi has been using celebrity power to rep its brand for years. From Britney Spears and Michael Jackson to Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige, for Pepsi, star power sells soda. The company is now looking to get even more good press thanks to its recent partnership with megastar Beyonce.
BET reports Bey has already made a poster for the brand in which she is in a polka dot blazer and hot pants pushing a cart full of Pepsi. The pose is placed next to an oversized can of the soda with Beyonce's face on it. The limited-edition cans are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her new endorsement deal with Pepsi.
"Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve," Beyonce said in a statement, according to The New York Times. "As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity."
The singer and actress is already familiar with the brand, as she had a contract with them in 2002. The latest deal is reportedly worth $50 million and will have Beyonce doing a great deal of publicity for the company including photo shoots and videos.
Do you think Beyonce will help Pepsi? Will you buy the cans?
