Beyonce, other stars, demand change in gun laws
People from all walks of life around the U.S. felt the gravity of the horrific shooting that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14. The tragedy has shaken the nation and now celebrities like Beyonce, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell are standing up to fight for stricter gun regulations.
ABC News reports the famous entertainers lended their voices and messages to create a gun violence video on behalf of Demand A Plan, an initiative that is part of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization.
"For the children of Sandy Hook, demand a plan. No more lists of names," Cameron Diaz, Courtney Cox and more said in the video. "It's not too soon, it's too late. Now is the time before we all know someone who loved someone on that list."
Beyonce added her opinion in the piece as well.
"Demand a plan…for the children of Sandy Hook," Beyonce said to the camera.
Many lawmakers have been speaking out about ways to curb gun violence, and the celebrity video may be yet another push for action.
