Biz Markie is back
Hip hop fans have long awaited Biz Markie's return. Finally, they can stop holding their breath: According to Vibe, he just announced that he'll be back on tour.
He's not going it alone, either. Biz is bringing out the big guns with Juice Crew's Big Daddy Kane and the iconic MC Lyte for a series of performances next year. The "30'25" tour is apparently centered around celebrating all three artists' lengthy careers in the rap realm. Each of them have been performing for more than 30 years.
Markie recently hosted the unveiling of the new Serato Digital Music Experience at the Brooklyn Guitar Center.
"We're going everywhere, the last hoorah," he said at the event, as quoted by Vibe. "I'm bringing Swan out the closet - all my people. We always honor our people when they die; we've got to honor them while we're still alive."
The schedule and set list still hasn't been set in stone. Are you hoping the classic "Just A Friend" makes the cut?
