Confirmed: Drake's collab with Wu Tang
After Drake released his song "Wu-Tang Forever" earlier this month, which sampled The Wu-Tang Clan's 1997 track "It's Yourz," there were some pretty explosive reactions from fans of the rap group. In no time, Wu Tang was already re-mixing the Toronto rapper's song.
Up until now, collaboration between the two acts may have seemed unlikely, but it's actually happening. In an interview for Elliot Wilson's #CRWN series, Drake confirmed the collaboration, and also revealed some other surprising details about his recent album. According to Global Grind, he noted that "Pound Cake" was initially supposed to be on Jay Z's album "Magna Carta Holy Grail." He also admitted that his mother, who he poured champagne for in the audience, was not happy about the track "Too Much."
Even though fans already got a listen last week when songs leaked on the Internet, "Nothing Was the Same" officially drops Sep. 24. Stay tuned for Drake's music video for "Hold On, We're Going Home," which also comes out this week.
The question remains: Do you think Drizzy's track did Wu Tang justice?
