Converse gets redesigned
The classic Chuck Taylors continue to stay in fashion decade after decade. However, the Converse brand has decided to up the wow factor on its newest line. It will be coming together with nightclub owner Andrew Saravia and Olivier Zahm of the French Magazine Purple to revamp the classic style. Freshness Magazine reports the geniuses behind the new collection will be sharing two unique limited edition versions of the shoe in fresh and bold colors.
The trio made sure to keep the look simple and true to what consumers continue to love, with a more modern spin. The off-white colorway option comes with either a pink or purple outsole that coincides with the colored beading wrapping around the midsole. The black colorway offers fans of the shoe an updated flair by way of a leather lining, a colorful outsole and the trio's branding on the tongue. The shoes will be available online and come in high-top varieties only.
Fans of unique sneakers can also look into buying fresh kicks for a cause. The San Francisco Gate reports Converse is partnering with shoe stores in California that will have designs by artists Kris Mestizo and Alan Gonzalez on them. Proceeds from the limited edition kicks will go toward Youth Against Poverty and Compass Family Services.
"It is a beautiful and fulfilling feeling to give and help someone with my work and passion," Gonzalez told the news source regarding the upcoming project.
