This could be Kendrick Lamar's year at the Grammys

No matter who brings home the trophies at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, Kendrick Lamar is bound to have a big night. Not only is he nominated in seven categories including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, but he also just confirmed via Twitter that he'll be performing at this year's awards show.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles radio station Power 106, he commented on his nod for Album of the Year.

"That's crazy that [good kid, m.A.A.d. city is] even in that [category] because that album is a really raw album," Lamar said, as quoted by Hip Hop DX. "It's not too much crossover, so for them to even put it in that light, that's a win by itself...So if I take it home, [that will be] even more of a crazy feeling."

Tune in Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. EST to watch the West Coast rapper take the stage and find out if he wins.

Do you think "good kid, m.A.A.d. city" deserved a whopping seven nominations?
