Derrick Rose's return: Part 3
Fan favorite and Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose suffered a career crushing knee injury last season and many were unsure as to when or if the basketball player would return to the court. Hypebeast reports the athlete is in fact making a comeback and has since teamed up with adidas Basketball to document his struggles and triumphs over the course of his recovery through a series of videos on the company's website.
Thus far, fans have gotten a glimpse into his day-to-day life in the first two episodes of "The Return of Derrick Rose," titled "Belief" and "Hope." The third installment, "Focus," was just released on the adidas Basketball website for yet more insight into the basketball star's recovery.
In "Focus," Rose opens up to fans about his ability to remain focused on his end goal - getting back into basketball - despite the challenges and pain he's endured after suffering his ACL tear. The video documents his time on the sidelines after being named the MVP of the NBA just a few months prior.
"My biggest fight right now, I would have to say, is just staying focused," Rose said in the third episode, according to HipHopWired.com. "Being patient because I'm impatient. If you think about it, I never stop, this is the only time in my life where I actually stopped playing basketball. Even in high school I was always going. Then thinking I was going to be able to play in the Olympics this year, it just killed my dreams."
Do you think Rose will be able to perform as well post-injury? Are you watching the episodes?
