Drake's still playing with hooks for 'Trophies'
Until Drake's recent performance in Brooklyn, fans had no idea what was in store for the Hit-Boy-produced "Trophies."
Then, after this powerful track echoed through the Barclays Center, the audience was left wondering why it took so long to get a listen. In fact, the song was originally slated to be on his latest album, "Nothing Was The Same." So why didn't it make the cut?
The rapper recently admitted that he's still not completely satisfied with the track, according to Vibe.
"I'm not a throw-it-together kind of guy," he said, as quoted by Hot New Hip Hop. "And I had two different hooks on there, I didn't like either of them. I started sending it around and as great of a job as other people did, it didn't sound right if I wasn't on the hook. I always wanna do my own hooks for the sake of my performances."
Still, Drizzy confirmed the song will finally be dropping in the near future.
If you've heard "Trophies," do you think it sounds dope as is?
