Dre won't listen to his own music

Do rappers ever like to listen to their own music? Dr. Dre definitely doesn't. In fact, it turns out he's far more likely to be playing another artist's tracks in his Beats by Dre earbuds or headphones, which you can snag at JimmyJazz.com.

Complex magazine reported that in an interview that Dre did for Esquire magazine, he revealed some interesting facts about his approach to music. For one, he admitted that he won't allow his family to play his albums in the house. He also claimed that he has gone more than three days without sleeping while he's working on an album.

"I've gone seventy-nine hours without sleep, creating," he explained, according to the news source. "When that flow is going, it's almost like a high. You don't want it to stop. You don't want to go to sleep for fear of missing something."

There's a good chance he's been losing sleep to perfect his now much-anticipated album, "Detox."

What's your passion that keeps you up all night?
