Dre's Beats Music is about to launch
Chances are, you're already using Pandora, iTunes Radio, Spotify or all three play your favorite hip hop, rap and other music day to day. The whole game is about to change, though. Meet Beats Music, the latest streaming service from Dr. Dre and Interscope's Jimmy Iovine. Did we mention Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is the chief creative officer?
There has been a lot of buzz around the subscription service, and you won't have to wait much longer to see what all the hype is about - Beats Music is slated to launch Jan. 21, and will be available on Apple iOS, Windows Mobile, Google Android, Sonos and other browsers. In the meantime, pick up some Beats by Dre earbuds at Jimmy Jazz so you're prepped for the launch.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Iovine has said that the philosophy behind Beats is "helping people re-discover the magic in the experience of listening to music," and will rely on recommendations from artists and industry experts instead of technological algorithms. Users may even be able to catch a glimpse of what Reznor or Dre are listening to in real time.
Is this about to become your go-to music streaming service?
