First lady to celebrate 50th birthday with major stars

There's no doubt that it is tough to be the first lady on many occasions, but when it comes to birthday celebrations, the perks might outweigh the problems. Michelle Obama may not be turning the big 5-0 until next January, but many sources are reporting she's already made a list of who she wants to attend her birthday party.

The Daily Mail is reporting Obama has requested that huge stars like Beyonce and Adele perform at her bash next year, adding Adele has already accepted the invite

"Adele has graciously accepted and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance. She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the first lady and her friends," an anonymous source told the news outlet.

The person added that the Obamas will pay for the musician's airfare and accommodations out of pocket.

As for Beyonce's appearance, the Huffington Post is reporting getting her to say yes may be even easier given the superstar's close relationship with the first couple. Bey was not only a large supporter during the recent campaign, but also lent her (pre-recorded) voice at the inauguration.

The White House has not commented on the proposed party, but if the rumors are true, it sounds like turning 50 will be a blast for Obama.

Do you think the rumors are true? What stars would you want to sing at your birthday bash?
