Funny lady Tracee Ellis Ross talks loving her hair
It's hot and humid, ladies, and we all know this weather makes it hard to style or tame hair. While some women opt to rock updos or pull their hair back until fall, actress Tracee Ellis Ross is looking to encourage fellow sisters to embrace their natural curls and waves. According to BET, Ross recently launched her "Hair Love" campaign via a video post.
Despite her positivity in loving her hair, Ross actually decided to discuss the trouble she had with her locks while growing up after an Instagram meme was created surrounding the actress's "easy to manage" hair. The meme shows a young girl crying with the caption, "That moment you realize you don't have Tracee Ellis Ross' hair."
Many fans in the past have discussed how it must be easier for Ross to style her hair due to her mixed ethnicity. Ross decided to stand up and share her own story in the new video, while telling fans they should all love their own hair, rather than crave the look of someone else.
"I love that you love my hair, but I only love that you love my hair if it's an inspiration for you to love your hair," Ross tells young viewers in the clip.
Do you think more people need to love the skin they're in? Do you like the way Ross handled the issue?
