Get a taste of 'Detox' in the new Beats by Dre commercial
Fans have been waiting patiently for Dr. Dre's "Detox" album. Though there's no word yet on exactly when it will drop, you can hear a snippet from it on the new Beats by Dre commercial, which promotes the Pill and the new Pill XL. In the ad, Kendrick Lamar spits some rhymes over a track from the yet to be released LP. Considering the fact that everyone has been anticipating a new album from K.Dot's, too, the collaboration comes as a welcome surprise.
The commercial features the duo in the studio, working late into the night before they're faced with a creative roadblock that prevents them from finishing the track. Then, Dre and Lamar realize what it needs: a new drumbeat. The BoomBox noted that as Dre is the one operating the mixing boards in the ad, that may be an indication that he produced "Detox" himself.
It may still be a while until you hear the rest of Dre's album. In the meantime, though you can listen to your favorite rap albums in his studio over ear headphones, or blast some hip hop hits out of the portable pill speaker, both at JimmyJazz.com.
Which are you more excited about: Dre's "Detox" or K.Dot's next project?
