How to pull off floral
The warm weather is finally starting to hit the East Coast and most ladies are anxious to ditch their drab, dark winter clothes in exchange for fun, flirty sun dresses and women's urban clothes. EBONY Magazine reports one of the most popular trends among the celebs this spring is floral patterns.
Stars like Zoe Saldana, Ciara, Rihanna and famed stylist June Ambrose have all been seen rocking sassy flower patterns on pants, skirts, dresses and even shorts. Flowers can also be perfect for dressing up or down, depending on the fabric. Saldana and Ambrose rocked floral patterns printed on chic satin fabrics, which are definitely appropriate for a more formal event. Ciara, on the other hand, rocked floral on a pair of jean cutoff shorts - a look that's perfect for attending outdoor events like music festivals or sporting events.
InStyle Magazine reports that because most floral patterns are quite busy, it's best to keep the rest of the ensemble clean cut and minimal. New mama Beyonce was recently seen out and about rocking a pair of flower and waterfall printed pants, and she knew to keep her top simple - a classic black button up worked perfectly. However, she and other stars embracing the floral craze add more flare by way of their shoes. Bey opted for a pair of sunny yellow pointed toe pumps.
