iPhone 5 rumored to be unveiled on September 12
It's time to start saving - Apple recently announced the newest member of the iPhone family will be released on September 12. Hypebeast reports the latest phone will be unveiled during a "special event' on the date and will include a keynote address which is planned for 10 a.m. Pacific time.
The news outlet speculates some of the key new features of the 5 will include a thinner and taller phone with a 4-inch display. It's also been rumored people can start placing orders for the phone after the press conference with an estimated delivery date of September 21. However, Apple has not confirmed the delivery date as of yet.
CNET reports the secretive company dropped the latest news by sending out an email to members of the press with the words "It's almost here," with a large 12. The 12 casts a "5" shadow underneath which fueled the rumors the new phone will be unveiled on the 12th.
The phone is expected to be compatible with fourth-generation cellular networks, however the actual features of the phone have still mostly been kept under wraps.
