Jay Z can rep NBA players
It's official: Jay Z can now represent NBA players. While Complex magazine reported that the rapper signed Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant and Yankee Robinson Cano to his new Roc Nation sports agency this summer, he is now actually certified to rep any players he chooses. First, however, he had to sell his piece of the Brooklyn Nets to prove he had no conflict of interest.
So just how much did Jay sell one-fifteenth of 1 percent of the team for? According to Forbes, coach Jason Kidd shelled out $500,000 - the second highest price tag paid in history for a piece of an NBA team. Jay had a heavy hand in the Nets' overall look, even coming up with the ad slogans, color scheme and logos.
What do you think his first negotiations will be?
