Grabbing their name from Michael Jordan's High School, the Retro V "Laney" Pack dons the school colors of his Royal Airness.  These clean white kicks illuminated by bright maize yellow and varsity royal pigments pay homage to an earlier, more challenging time in his personal history. His story serves as an inspiring tale for up and coming basketball hopefuls throughout the world-he was cut from the Laney High School Varsity Basketball team tryouts as a sophomore for being too "raw and undersized," according to Sneakernews.com.  He ended up growing 4 inches and practiced vigorously for hours on end and showed them what he was really made of, averaging 25 points per game.  It's no surprise that MJ would feature a shoe that tells the story of his humble beginnings by releasing an equally humble looking sneaker. The Retro V is also named as one of the top 10 all-time popular Jordan brand models of all time, as seen on Lifedaily.com and Sneakereport.com.

This colorway can also be found on the Retro 1 High OG "Laney" which is another addition to the Pack, releasing 11/16.

If you're a true sneakerhead and Jordan fan, the Laney 5s are a must cop this year. Check out Jimmyjazz.com and select Jimmy Jazz stores to secure a pair!
