Kandi Burruss talks new endeavors

Kandi Burruss, star of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," has opened up a lot since she joined the hit Bravo TV show - perhaps a little too much for some. BET reports the reality TV star recently appeared on former Housewives star Bethenny Frankel's new talk show to dish on the other ladies in the franchise and to discuss her new sex toy line.

According to the news outlet, Burruss wanted to create a line of toys that were pretty and feminine and got the job done. Burruss took inspiration from her women's urban clothes when it came to the toys' sleek style. She admitted, she's sort have become the poster child for black women's sexual liberation, as it's something that isn't discussed that often within the culture.

"Well the crazy thing is I didn’t try to make it a race issue," Burruss told Frankel on the show, according to BET. "I think because I'm black, obviously, I had a lot of people come up to me and say, 'Did you realize you’re the face of black women being more liberated and talking about sex,' and I didn't realize that until now. In our community, that black community, it is very hush-hush to talk about sex. Everything is hush-hush, like you can't talk about that."

Burruss also talked about how some black men feel like their women shouldn't need any toys or gadgets in the bedroom and she hopes her openness will help change their tune. She claims infusing different things into the bedroom can be better for all involved.

Despite her new line gaining success around the nation, Burruss is also busy with her other endeavors. WetPaint.com reports the singer and songwriter has been posting new images of the summer clothing she just got in at her store in Atlanta called TAGS. Burruss poses in the clothes herself, to show they work on women of all shapes and sizes.
