Keep calm: Kanye's tour is back on
Kanye West fans got some bummer news last week when his "Yeezus Tour" was put on hold. According to The Source, much of the stage equipment, including a 60-foot LED screen and a video truss, was damaged due to a tour bus accident in Vancouver. Since then, no one knew when Ye would take his tour back on the road. After all, the visuals are essential to the notorious spectacle of the rapper's performances.
Billboard magazine reported that Yeezy was intent on fulfilling his artistic intent.
"Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans," read a statement by his record label.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief, though, as the tour will now resume Nov. 16 in Philadelphia. The postponed concerts in Chicago, Toronto and Detroit have been rescheduled.
If you've been to a Kanye concert, do you think the visual component is key?
