Kendrick Lamar’s Album Coming Fourth Quarter
Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar knows he’s got a lot to live up to when it comes to releasing his followup to Good Kid m.a.a.d city. That’s why it’s been almost two years since its release. “I don’t want to be that person reflecting on what has been done,” the rapper told Complex magazine.
The MC says he’s already recorded 30-40 songs for this next project, with producers Tae Beast, Sounwave and of course Dr. Dre enlisted behind the boards. The album is still untitled and is expected to be released later this year.
“When I’m in the studio I’m looking for creativity I haven’t matched yet, a feeling I haven’t felt. It’s a high,” says Kendrick. “What I’m doing now is the question. I’m only as good as my last word, my last hook, my last bridge.”
