Kevin Hart discusses new BET series
Comedian Kevin Hart is no stranger to making people laugh at his sometimes outrageous jokes. Now, he's taking it one step further with his show "Real Husbands of Hollywood." BET reports the mock-reality show debuted on the station on January 15 and features a slew of elite "husbands" including Nick Cannon and Robin Thicke.
The series is meant to mimic the "Real Housewives" franchise on Bravo and follows the lives of these men as they enjoy the day-to-day perks of being married to celebrities. The show comes from a few very popular skits Hart recorded and aired at the 2011 BET Awards. He credits the stars of the show for being able to make fun of themselves for the sake of a laugh, no matter how embarrassing it may be.
"Well, I think the brilliance behind the "Real Husbands of Hollywood" is, you know, wasn't in creating these situations," Hart told the news outlet. "The cast involved in our show becomes our situation. We're making fun of ourselves."
Hart opened up to MTV News even further saying the group of guys on the show will certainly come up with their own set of sayings and phrases, similar to "grenades" and "cabs are here" on "The Jersey Shore."
