The kicks that launched a legend: Air Jordan 6 Retro
Remember the Air Jordan 6? We'll jog your memory - it's the sneaker that Michael Jordan himself was wearing when he won his first NBA Championship trophy in 1991. The legendary shoe has been MIA for four years since the Infrared Pack in 2010. Now, the brand is re-releasing these retro kicks, and this edition perfectly fuses the features the 6s are known for with new eye-catching elements. The sneakers stay true to former styles with a translucent outsole and of course, the two tongue slots, which help you to easily slip your foot inside them. The new colorway is mostly white, but jet black peeks out from the insole and tongue for some stark contrast. Naturally, Infrared makes a reappearance, popping up on the heel tab, outsole and shoelace toggle.
February is a bleak and brutal month, but this retro release could prove to be just the midway pick-me-up you need to get you through - these sneakers hit Jimmy Jazz store shelves and the website Feb. 15 for $170. Since MJ was playing for Chicago when he first sported these, you should probably cop the New Era Bulls Snapback, a Jimmy Jazz exclusive, while you're at it.
What Air Jordan 6 colorways are you hoping come back in 2014?
