Kreayshawn collaborates with many on new album
Rapper Kreayshawn hasn't had the best start in the game. Despite becoming an overnight success with her song "Gucci Gucci," the Bay Area rapper faltered on her last album. However, it seems Kreayshawn is at it again and this time she is getting by with some help from her famous friends, BET reports.
Kreayshawn's new album, "Somethin' Bout Kreay," is set to hit record stores next month and she has scored some serious collaborations that might help this album soar. It's been reported 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi and Azealia Banks all lend their vocal skills to the new record. Kreay spoke to BET about the pairing and how she's put her feud with Banks behind her because of it.
"It's just artists appreciating other artists. I've never been paid for a feature and I've never paid anyone else for a feature. Everything was kind of organic," Kreay told the news source. "We weren't really reaching out to people for features, certain people just got on it. It's just about finding the right artist you can work with like that."
MTV News reports Kreayshawn's new album is more about her creativity as an artist and she admitted it was inspired by all different genres of music.
