Lil Wayne breaks Elvis' Billboard record

Lil Wayne promised fans that he's going to work harder to meet their listening expectations, and the rapper is already breaking some serious ground.

According to XXL magazine, as "Celebration," which also features Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa snagged the number 82 slot on the Billboard Hot 100, Lil Wayne now holds the most entries of any artist in history. Previously, Elvis held this honor with 108 entries, but Weezy just surpassed him with 109.

His first appearance on the Billboard was in 1999 with the hit song "Back That Azz Up." Since then, he has continued to rack up more space on the Hot 100 with a variety of tracks, including "Lollipop," "Soldier" with Destiny's Child and "Forever" with Drake.

So what's next for the Louisiana-bred star? Busta Rhymes recently revealed that Lil Wayne will appear on his next album, along with Kanye West and Q-Tip, Hot New Hip Hop reports.
