Lil Wayne talks settling down
Rapper Lil Wayne has been in the game for most of his life and now, plagued with recent reported health problems and a desire to try out a new outlet, Wayne may be stepping back from the mic for good. MTV recently spoke with the outlandish rapper who admits he may be settling down after the release of the album "Tha Carter V," to focus on other aspects of his life - both personal and professional.
"I know y'all want me around for a little bit, and Carter V is my last album," Weezy told the news station. "Man, I've been rappin' since I was 8 years old. I'm 30 now, man. That's a long time, man."
Aside from putting down the mic, Wayne also opened up about starting a new chapter in his life - marriage. Wayne discussed the fact that he is going to marry his longtime girlfriend Dhea and he's excited to do so.
"Yup. Yeah, man, yup…and happily married too," Wayne said on feeling ready to settle down according to the news source. "I'll probably run down the aisle. I'll probably slide into the preacher like it was home plate."
Despite his high ambitions for the future, Wayne may also be taking a break to get his health in check. The New York Times reports the rapper is now on medication to prevent seizures. He has reportedly had one episode since October 25. He made sure to let his fans know about his condition in a different interview with MTV. Wayne discussed the medication and that part of his recovery includes him drinking four bottles of water daily to prevent dehydration.
"I don't want y'all to think I'm on nothing, man," Wayne said in the interview on the set of his new music video for 'No Worries.'" "I'm on seizure medicine, man, that's all."
