A-list performers to hit the stage at NBA All-Star game
Music and sports go together like peas and carrots, so it may come as no surprise to some fans that the NBA All-Star game will bring the noise. According to BET, the NBA announced its lineup of performers right on the heels of Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show.Â
Fans who loved Alicia Keys' rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl will be happy to learn that she'll be tackling the halftime performance at the All-Star game. Ne-Yo, who has taken a step back from singing since landing the job of senior vice president of A&R at Motown Records, will perform a few hits during the player introductions, while John Legend has the job of belting out the national anthem prior to the start of the game.Â
Even though the main event will take place on February 17, many basketball enthusiasts might be more pumped about the games that take place on the day before, USA Today reports. Nick Cannon will host the State Farm All-Star Saturday night event on TNT, which will feature performances by Ellie Goulding, Phil Phillips and Fall Out Boy. The acts will entertain fans in attendance and at home during the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
