Longboarding just got more fun
When most people think about longboards, cruising around by the beach or through town with friends during the summer likely comes to mind. However, you can do so much more with the totally fresh Stair-Rover. According to Freshness magazine, the skateboard is not only long, offering users plenty of support, but thrill-seekers also have the ability to glide down stairs without skipping a beat.
The Stair-Rover boasts not four, but eight wheels as well as a flexible aluminum V-frame that conforms and moves with any terrain users may come across. The moving joints let the front and back wheels transcend stairs with ease and style no other board on the market can match.
PSFK reports the Stair-Rover is the baby of inventor Po-Chih Lai, who studied at the Royal College of Art. The longboard is currently being funded as a Kickstarter project and Lai has been developing the board for over two years. Over that time, Lai has gone through 14 different prototypes with the board before settling on the final design.
