Mixing patterns is no longer a fashion faux pas

Spring is here which means it's time to replace those oversized sweaters and baggy jeans in exchange for bold print sun dresses and shorts with fresh kicks. Most people resort back to their old clothes from last spring, but those looking for some new trends in hip hop clothes this season should invest in prints.

EBONY magazine reports that matching is no longer an issue as it's now on point to rock multiple patterns, as long as they flow together. However, the magazine isn't telling ladies and gents to go out and mix up just any old looks, instead it's important to find patterns that work with each other with some creative license.

EBONY magazine suggests ladies look for pants and a top by the same designer that have slightly different prints in similar color families. Pairing these will show off individual style without looking like a hot mess.

BeautyRiot.com reports an easy way to transition into this style is to find a spring skirt in a bold pattern, such as a blue skirt with white flowers, and pair it with a black and white polka dot blouse or tank top. This way you're rocking two patterns, but in a subtle way.
