Move over XBox, PlayStation 4 is here
Many gamers were excited to learn about the updates and changes featured with Microsoft's Xbox One, but it seems the winner of the battle of gaming consoles will likely be Sony. Both companies revealed their latest gaming systems at the recent E3 2013 trade show, and even though the Xbox was impressive, it couldn't hold a flame to Sony's PlayStation 4.
According to Freshness magazine, the PS4 boasts an impressive 8-core x86-64 "Jaguar" created by AMD as well as an AMD Radeon 1.84 TFLOPS GPU, basically meaning the console is the fastest system around. Though being fast might be all gamers need to hear to be sold on the product, Sony kicked it up even further thanks to its 500GB storage capabilities and Blu-Ray drive. Oh yeah, it's $100 lower price tag than the Xbox One too.
During the presentation, Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, also informed fans that unlike with the Xbox One, users of the PlayStation 4 will have the right to sell or trade games, while the Xbox One won't read used games
"When a gamer buys a PS4 disc, they have the rights to use that disc, resell it, lend it to a friend or keep it forever," Tretton said during the trade show.
Are you sold on either system?
