Musicians, athletes step up for Let's Move!
Looking your best in hip hop clothes starts with having a healthy body. Staying fit and eating right is important in living a fulfilled life and first lady Michelle Obama has certainly been doing her part to get today's youth fit through her Let's Move! initiative. BET reports this movement isn't just backed by doctors and health officials, it's also being encouraged by countless stars in the entertainment industry.
According to the source stars like Beyonce, Keri Hilson, Nelly Furtado and DeMarcus Ware have all stepped up to the plate to show that fashion, fame and success start with a balanced meal and plenty of exercise.
Last year Beyonce released a full workout video that airs on the Let's Move! official website.
"I am excited to be part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis," Bey wrote on the website. "First Lady Michelle Obama deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren."
Singer/songwriter Furtado recently visited a school to talk to kids about staying in shape, while Ware, an NFL linebacker, has appeared in a public service announcement alongside President Barack Obama to help fight childhood obesity.
