Nostalgia in the Jungle: Nike Lunar Raid “Urban Jungle Gym”
The 90s era was birth place to a lot of heat, and when you look at the Nike Lunar Raid "Urban Jungle Gym" you can tell that Nike got a bit homesick. Inspired by the Nike Air Raid, the Nike Lunar Raid is just a nostalgic look at a classic. Along with the release f the Nike Air Raid "Urban Jungle Gym," we are also proud to announce our participation in the release of the Nike Lunar Raid "Urban Jungle Gym." This Saturday Nike is coming with excruciating heat waves in the high 200s°F, as if this summer could not get any hotter.
While the Nike Air Raid color way that is coming out on Saturday looks like it got smacked by the 90s, the Nike Lunar Raid "Urban Jungle Gym" does not have the retro tribal color scheme that the Nike Air Raid has, but Nike did still manage to throw some red, green, and yellow in there. Challenge Red/Challenge Red-Black we should rename this shoe the Nike Lunar Raid "Challengers." The Nike Lunar raid is also equipped with the same crossing straps as the Nike Air Raid for superb support. The Air-Sole unit that is located in the midsole of the shoe supplies excellent cushioning. The Rubber outer sole offers great outdoor traction for grip on the basketball court.
We know that the "Urban Jungle Gym" color way was inspired by Spike Lee, and no it had nothing to do with the movie "Jungle Fever." The Nike Lunar Raid was inspired by the Nike Air Raid, but did the Nike Air Raid inspire another classic? The Air Jordan VIII and the Nike Air Raid were both released around the same time, and are almost mirror images of each other. Just like the Nike Lunar Raid and the Jordan 8.0 are almost mirror images of each other. Do you think the Nike Air Raid inspire the Air Jordan VIII?
