Notre Dame may have lost, but players have cool cleats
The Fighting Irish went undefeated on the season, but couldn't take on the force that is Alabama. Despite losing in the BCS National Championship on January 7, the team can relish in the fact that adidas made them some custom cleats to look fresh in during the match up.
Freshness magazine reports adidas footwear created a unique pair of cleats for the student athletes to wear during the game. The adidas adiZero 5 Star 2.0 Low Cleats - Notre Dame BCS National Championship Edition kicks were created with the team's colors in mind. Aside from repping the gold, white and black colorway, the cleats also had some high performance technology.
The cleats were created on a SPRINTFRAME structure, with a SPRINTSKIN upper and SPOTLIGHT reflective graphics, helping them weigh in at just 6.7 ounces - the lightest cleat the brand has ever created. The limited edition kicks come in packaging with the phrase "Notre Dame Is All In." Fans of the team and what it's all about can pick up a pair now.
Did you think Notre Dame was going to win? Did you want them to win or were you rooting for Alabama?
