Obama offers parenting tips to Jay-Z
It's no secret that the first couple of the United States and the first couple of rap and R&B are becoming buddy-buddy. Not only have Jay-Z and Beyonce hosted fundraisers in support of Obama's re-election, but Bey has also been a key promoter of Michelle's Let's Move! initiative that works to put an end to childhood obesity.
Now it seems that Obama is opening up to Jay on a softer subject - parenthood. The president made a joke on a Cleveland radio station saying he talks to Jay about being a present father.
"I made sure Jay-Z was helping Beyoncé out and not just leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law," Obama told the radio hosts on parenting advice, BET reports.
Obama went on to say how wonderful Jay and Bey are as friends, parents and supporters of many of the first couple's programs.
"We've gotten to know these guys over the last several years, we talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. We talk about kids and they just had a new baby, they have a new daughter," Obama said, according to The New York Post. "They're good people. Beyoncé could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls because the girls are big Beyoncé fans. We've had them down to the White House and they're good friends."
The newfound friendship makes us wonder, does Jay-Z or Beyonce have a future in politics? Would you vote for either if they did?
