A peek at Pusha T's 'My Name is My Name'
Anticipation has been rising for Pusha T's debut album, "My Name Is My Name," which drops Oct. 8. Now, with just several weeks to go before it hit stores, premiere hip hop blog The Stashed is already asserting that it's the best G.O.O.D Music release and further, the best rap album of the year, according to The Source. Both Pharrell and Kanye West had a hand in several tracks' production.
XXL magazine reported on a recent listening event for the album at Industria Superstudio in New York City, at which Kanye shouted, "Everything is Pusha T." Then, at roughly 9 p.m., the rapper of the hour made his entrance in a a black and orange hat and performed the first song. XXL noted that Kanyeâ's influence is abundantly clear on every track, but questioned whether the artist has found his own identity yet. On one track, he raps, "I just wanna be who I am."
