Pharrell talks shop
Rapper, producer and fashion designer Pharrell certainly has a lot on his plate. From cranking out hit music to creating new urban clothing lines, he seems to have little free time. Hypebeast recently sat down with the artist to learn a little bit more about what's been going on with his life and what projects he's working on.
In 2012 alone, Pharrell has been in the studio with Miley Cyrus and Tyler the Creator, while also penning a new book, "Places and Spaces I've Been." It was during his book tour in Hong Kong that writers from Hypebeast spoke with the entertainer. His take on the fashion world is all about being an individual and learning how people make certain styles their own.
"I like individuality more than I like anything else. Fashion is great, the followers are cool but I love individuality - I love when people take things and make it themselves," Pharrell told the news outlet.
Even though he loves the different aspects of his life, Pharrell admitted working on so many projects leaves little time for a social or love life. He told the magazine giving up a social life is the only way he's able to spend quality time on all his ventures without spreading himself too thin.
Do you like Pharrell? Do you think he's a better musician or clothing designer?
