Retro 4s come out in time for holidays

The holiday season is fast approaching and as many families hit the malls in pursuit of the top gifts for their loved ones, some might be wondering where to find unique presents fashion-forward relatives will love. The key to keeping the Christmas spirit high may be to invest in a pair of the Air Jordan Retro 4 "Black/Cement" sneakers.

SoleCollector.com reports this pair of sneakers is sure to impress any shoe enthusiast as the kicks come in a sleek black, red and cement colorway. The shoes, which originally debuted in 1993, were re-released in 2008 as a part of the Jordan IX/XIX Collezione (Countdown) Package. The collection not only featured the release of this sneaker but also a version of the Air Jordan XIX Retro.

Although the Retro 4s will be relatively the same as when they came out in 2008, this time around they will feature the "Jumpman" symbol instead of the traditional Nike "swoosh" insignia. Also, fans will be able to purchase just the Retro 4s themselves this time, rather than as a set with another version.

The Retro 4 "Black/Cement" sneakers represent the highlight of Jordan's career - his time playing with the Chicago Bulls. The soles are a mix of cement tones, red and white and then transition into an all black body with white detailing near the tongue. Mesh wings are featured on the sides of the shoes and on the tongue, offering fans a bit of extra detail and flair.

These are the first pair of Air Jordans to be released during the holiday season, in fact they are set to start it off. SneakerFiles.com reports the kicks are expected to drop on Black Friday, November 23, so fans need to step up their game in order to grab a pair. Jimmy Jazz stores and JimmyJazz.com are a large distributor of the sneakers, so it may be smart to check there first.

Do you like the Retro 4s in this colorway? Are you holding out for any other sneakers?
