Retro VII making a comeback
Michael Jordan may have retired from the game some years ago, but his legacy continues to live on loud and proud in the footwear market. Freshness Magazine recently announced Air Jordan VII "Raptors" in black/red/purple style #304775-018 will be back on the market starting September 1.
These classic high tops are a throwback to Jordan in his prime. He rocked these sneakers during the Bulls' championship run in the 1992 NBA postseason, the news source reports. Jordan, being the boss that he is, led his team in points against the Portland Trail Blazers in the finals to capture the team's second consecutive title.
It's no surprise Jordan took home the MVP honors for the second year in a row after his stellar performance including hitting six threes before the first half of game one. The kicks are classic and stylish with an all-black frame with accents of red and purple, including an all-red Jordan symbol. The sneakers gained the nickname the "Raptors" based on the look, but the team, the Toronto Raptors, were not even in the NBA until 1995 - three years after the shoes came out.
