Rihanna talks fashion, Chris Brown to ELLE
Rihanna has been in the news as of late for everything from announcing her plans to start a fashion line, her ever-changing hair color and the rumors that she is getting back together with former beau Chris Brown.
BET reports the former couple have recently released two new songs "Birthday Cake," and "Turn Up The Music," which has only fueled criticism from fans that Rihanna has taken the R&B singer back. The pair broke up after a very public domestic violence incident back in February of 2010.
Rihanna aimed to set the record straight in the May issue of ELLE Magazine, where she openly denies getting back together with Brown. The singer/actress even calls the violent incident a "liberation."
"It gave me guns. I was like, well [expletive]. They know more about me than I want them to know. It's embarrassing," Rihanna told the magazine on the fight becoming so public. "But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. I wanted people to know who I am. Whatever they take that to be, good or bad, I just want them to know the truth."
Although Rihanna gained a new boost of confidence on the other side of her abuse, she claims it hasn't made dating any easier. The singer told the publication she has a hard time finding suitable men.
Maybe the problem is men out there are scared of her overwhelmingly good looks or the fact that she wears a variety of hip hop clothes and crazy outfits that may intimidate some guys.
