Rihanna talks love, fashion

Rihanna is no stranger to looking fabulous, whether rocking high fashion gowns or street ready hip hop clothes. The gorgeous singer and actress recently displayed her softer side while posing for the pages of Harper's Bazaar Magazine.

The Barbadian beauty donned natural makeup along with simple and clean ensembles for the August 2012 edition. She opened up inside the pages about everything from her tumultuous relationship with ex Chris Brown, to her personal style, her future endeavors and her current love life.

"[I am] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair," Rihanna told the publication. "I have been conservative in my love life… it's pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I'll hang out. But the minute I find that we're getting too close I just - I don't let people in."

Despite her coy approach at love, the singer made waves by collaborating with ex Brown on her song "Birthday Cake." Critics and fans alike slammed her for working with her ex given their past domestic violence incident. Ri said she did the record because of his talent, she also expressed that she had finally "moved past the pain" of the previous ordeal.

"The fans could have said, 'We don't want anything to do with it,'" Rihanna told the news outlet. "I understood that people had every right to be concerned about it. But I didn't see it that way because I'm in a different place."

Although she may be in a different place, her interview shows she still holds scars because of what happened to her in the past.

"When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless," Rihanna admitted to the magazine. "And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I'd feel that pain in my life, I'm afraid of feeling that again."

Despite the hardship, Ri is determined to soldier on, and she has plenty of projects on her plate to keep her mind off the issue. OK Magazine reports the singer is currently working on her own fashion line. She admitted the line is already in the creative process and she is excited for people to see what she has in mind.

Fans of Rihanna through thick and thin can dress like their idol by purchasing the Baby Phat Macrape Bandage Dress to show off their curves this summer.
