Stay frizz-free with these hairstyles

The weather around the nation is finally starting to warm up and although ladies everywhere are excited to wear hot women's urban clothes to show off their figures, most are probably dreading the humidity. The hot weather can cause all sorts of problems in the hair department, which is why BET recently broke down some of the easy hairstyles stars have been rocking as of late.

Solange Knowles has been known to let her wild curls represent, but as the temperatures continue to rise, Knowles has been seen taming the waves and instead keeping her hair in tight updos.

"[Knowles'] sleek bun [is] an easy option that would still look chic even if the humidity threatened to ruin your hair," the source reports.

Make this style your own by working a bold lip color like hot pink and an equally fun dress that will show off your personality without the threat of frizz.

The gorgeous Gabrielle Union recently proved a braid can be sexy and sophisticated. The experts at BET suggest ladies try a loose fishtail braid that looks intricate, but can be done at home with a little practice.

EBONY Magazine reports ladies can gain even more hair knowledge by tuning into a new WE television series called "L.A. Hair." The show follows celebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble as she helps clients get ready for events.

Ladies may want to pair their new hairstyles with urban clothes like the Apple Bottom's Criss Cross Detail With Knit Panel Dress to show off their curves.
